Yankees Lead Subway Series of Old Stadiums' Seat Sales Add another bragging point for the Yankees in the battle of New York.

According to the New York Post, the Yankees have sold nearly 15,000 seats from the old Yankee Stadium. Meanwhile, the Mets have sold 10,311 seats from Shea Stadium, despite having lower prices and eight more months to sell their vacant stadium’s seats.

Seats from the old Yankee Stadium retail for $750 per seat and have been on sale since last May. Seats from Shea Stadium have been on sale for almost 18 months at nearly half the price. Shea Stadium’s seats are $869 for a pair. Despite the price difference, fans have so far purchased about 4,000 more seats from the old Yankee Stadium.

The Subway Series doesn’t get any better for the Mets on the field: The Yankees are 46-31 all-time during the regular season and postseason against the Mets.
