American Apolo Anton Ohno captured the silver medal in the short-track, 1,500-meter speed skating final. The medal ties him with Bonnie Blair as the most decorated American Winter Olympian with six medals in three Olympics.

Ohno finished first in his heat trials, giving him slot four in the semifinals with a time of 2:17:653. He finished second to Korean Jung-Su Lee in the semis with a time of 2:11:072. As impressive as that time is, Lee is now immortalized in the Olympic record book, nabbing a 2:10:949 time.

The two went head-to-head again in the finals Saturday with Lee coming up the victor once again with a 2:17:611 tally. Ohno was a scant .365 seconds behind Lee, which sounds close but not when you consider that Ohno was in fourth place halfway through the final turn. Lee's compatriots, Sung Si-bak and Lee Ho-suk, then wiped out, allowing Ohno to grab the silver.

Fellow American J.R. Celski took home the bronze in his first Olympics.
