BOSTON — Boston College is resuming its football series with Syracuse.

The Eagles' season finale will come on the road Nov. 27 and begin an eight-game series against the Orange. The schools met 45 times, including 34 straight seasons before their most recent meeting in 2004.

The 2010 schedule released on Thursday starts with four home games: against Weber State on Sept. 4; Kent State on Sept. 11; Virginia Tech on Sept. 25; and Notre Dame on Oct. 2. The Eagles are off Sept. 18.

They'll play at N.C. State on Oct. 9 and Florida State on Oct. 16, then at home the next two Saturdays against Maryland and Clemson. The final four games are at Wake Forest, at Duke, home against Virginia, and at Syracuse.

BC was 8-5 last season and lost the Emerald Bowl to USC 24-13.
