Brooklyn Decker Graces Cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Andy Roddick may not win another Grand Slam title, but his wife just won MVP of the Super Bowl.

That's how Brooklyn Decker described being chosen as the cover model for this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue on Tuesday's Today Show

"I burst into tears like a child," she said on the show, according to US Weekly. "It's really exciting. It's just now hitting me, so I am really happy."

The 22-year-old North Carolina model has appeared in the issue before, but she had not graced the cover, which was unveiled Monday night on The Late Show with David Letterman. The photo has also been plastered on a New York City billboard.

She made her swimsuit issue debut in 2006, and her shot in 2007 apparently caught they eye of Roddick, who then sought her out. The two began dating and were married last April.

Roddick could hardly contain his excitement, posting on his Twitter page: "so happy/proud of my wife… the new cover for sports illustrated swimsuit issue!!!! unreal… so excited!!!!!!!!!!"

Decker also sent her fans a message via Twitter: "THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! I Wish I could respond to every single one of you but thank you so much for your AMAZINGLY sweet tweets!"

Decker said she doesn't remember taking the photo that was eventually chosen, and that she doesn't fully know what goes into making the decision.

"I still don't know the formula for the cover,” she told The Associated Press. “It's luck, the perfect suit and perfect storm to get it."

Decker joins the likes of Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Bar Rafaeli and Marisa Miller among others in the group of swimsuit issue cover models.
