Bruins Assign Adam McQuaid to Providence

Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli announced that defenseman Adam McQuaid has been assigned to the Providence Bruins.

In 15 games with the B's this year, the 23-year-old has 19 penalty minutes and one goal — a game-winner on Feb. 7 against Montreal.

In 31 games this season for Providence, the 6-foot-5, 209-pounder has three goals and seven helpers. 10 totals and 66 penalty minutes.
