The Harlem Globetrotters proved they're ready if basketball becomes an event in the Winter Olympics.

According to The Associated Press, the Globetrotters played a game on an ice rink in New York's Central Park for the first time in their 84-year history last week. The team defeated the Washington Generals 32-15 in the contest.

Both teams wore ice cleats on their shoes to play the game, but the Globetrotters' mascot Globie was unable to find ice spikes to fit his oversized sneakers.

No announcement has been made if there will be an outdoor game next year.
