Marquis Daniels May Return Sunday Against Magic The short-handed Celtics probably wish they had an elixir to solve their injury problems. They'll face the Magic on Sunday at the TD Garden, but their injury woes may also vanish.

According to the Boston Herald, Celtics guard Marquis Daniels could return to the Celtics' lineup. Daniels has missed nearly two months with a wrist and thumb injury.

The Celtics guard is looking forward to contributing again.

"I feel like it's the first day of school," Daniels told the Herald. "I'm very excited. I'm just ready to get back out there and play, just be a part of the team."

Coach Doc Rivers is taking a cautious approach.

"The concern with Marquis is, because he is going to handle the ball and he's going to post, you are going to get whacked on that hand," Rivers explained. "So we want to find out if he can withstand that, and we don't know the answer yet."

Besides Daniels getting back to work, Paul Pierce (foot) reportedly is targeting a Sunday return as well.
