According to the Boston Herald, the NBA wants warm-weather cities to host its All-Star Games for the immediate future, a move that will likely keep the city of Boston out in the cold.

Boston's winter weather makes the city an unappealing spot for NBA players to go in the middle of February.

It's been 36 years since Boston hosted an All-Star Game. Dallas hosted this year's All-Star contest.
