They say everything is bigger in Texas, but could a 5-foot-7 musician headline Super Bowl XLV's halftime show in Dallas?
According to SportsbyBrooks, Kenny Chesney wants to perform during halftime of the 2011 Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium.
NFL vice president of programming Charles Coplin says the league prefers performers who have mass appeal.
"We stay away from overexposed acts. When was the last time you saw The Who on TV? We like acts whose songs are very familiar to people of all ages, all demographics," Coplin told Reuters.
Chesney has 11 gold albums and 10 No. 1 singles.
Other possible Super Bowl XLV halftime candidates include Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn and Jimmy Buffett, SportsbyBrooks reports.
