Terry Francona, Red Sox Getting Acclimated in Fort Myers Spring training has only just begun, and yet Red Sox Nation is already only interested in the answer to one question: Is this team ready to contend for a title in 2010?

Not yet. It’s only spring training, and manager Terry Francona is nowhere near ready to start making such bold predictions for his club.

“It feels good to be starting off right where we usually do with you guys getting way, way ahead of me,” Francona told the media on Wednesday. “We just had a first round of meetings this morning. … We haven’t even been on the field yet. I’d like to get my uniform on first and then we’ll get into some expectations.”

Check out the video below to see what else Francona had to say both about cutting down the roster and the Mike Lowell situation.
