Celtics fans don’t want to see Paul Pierce using a wheelchair unless the team’s back in the NBA Finals.

According to the Boston Herald, Pierce used a wheelchair to maneuver through a Dallas airport on Friday, but insists there is no need to worry about his recent injuries.

“Ah, it’s nothing, I’m just kiddin’,” Pierce told the Herald.

Pierce has been battling a strained left foot, but showed no ill effects in winning this year’s 3-Point Shootout.

Any extended Pierce absence certainly would hurt the Celtics, who have lost 13 of their last 22 games. But the veteran claims he’s healthy, and Rajon Rondo can verify Pierce’s diagnosis.

“He left the plane and terminal in Dallas under his own power,” Rondo told the Herald.

Pierce has missed seven games in his 12th season with the Celtics. The eight-time All-Star has a career average of 21.8 points per game.
