Tom Brady to Play in Pebble Beach Pro-Am Later this week, Tom Brady will do what athletes do best in the offseason: play golf.

The Patriots quarterback will be one of many celebrity participants in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Also on the list are George Lopez, Huey Lewis, ESPN host Chris Berman and Bill Murray.

According to Ollie Nutt, the president and CEO of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, celebrities like Brady are the prime reason why spectator interest in the tournament continues to grow — but that's not the only reason.

"The focus has never been on any one player," Nutt told the newspaper. "People come to watch the professionals and celebrities as well as take in the natural beauty of the courses."
