Knuckleballer Tim Wakefield takes the hump Tuesday afternoon against former Red Sox prospect and current Marlins hurler Anibal Sanchez. The 26-year-old righty was part of the Nov. 24, 2005, package that sent Jesus Delgado, Harvey Garcia and Hanley Ramirez to Florida for Josh Beckett, Mike Lowell and Guillermo Mota.

Sanchez, who has been plagued with injuries in his young career, has gone 18-17 with a 3.86 ERA in 49 starts since the deal. He went 10-3 with a 2.83 ERA in 2006 and spun a no-hitter against the Diamondbacks on Sept. 6 of that rookie season.

Wakefield tossed two scoreless innings against the Twins last Friday, allowing just one hit in his first appearance since undergoing back surgery in October.
