The Boston Bruins wives and girlfriends were busy on Friday as they shopped for shoes at Target in Woburn for the sixth annual "Step Up For Prevention" campaign, a fundraising event hosted by the Children's Trust Fund.

The Boston Bruins Foundation has partnered with the CTF to raise awareness of child abuse throughout the state of Massachusetts. The B's will donate 700 pairs of new children's shoes to the CTF, which represents the average number of children abused and neglected per week statewide.

The shoes purchased will be on display, lining the steps of the Massachusetts State House Grand Staircase on April 1, 2010.
