Bruins Throttle Flames 5-0

Bruins Throttle Flames 5-0 Seeing Marc Savard on Saturday did wonders for the Bruins’ morale — and for the power play.

The anemic special teams unit had a rare spectacular day at the TD Garden on Saturday, going 3-for-4 en route to a 5-0 throttling of the desperate Calgary Flames.

Prior to the game, the injured Savard addressed the media and his team for the first time since suffering a concussion on March 7.

Scoring for the Bruins were Dennis Seidenberg, David Krejci, Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron and Mark Recchi. In goal, Tim Thomas made 31 saves for his fifth shutout of the year.
