Casey Kelly Pitches Perfect Inning Against Northeastern

Casey Kelly's first game action of spring training was a success, as the 20-year-old retired the side in order on Wednesday afternoon against Northeastern. He struck out two batters in the process.

Kelly threw 10 pitches — seven for strikes — against the Huskies. He struck out the leadoff hitter, forced the No. 2 hitter into a groundout and struck out the third hitter.

That 10-pitch performance ended his day, with Manny Delcarmen entering in relief in the second inning.

For the first-year full-time pitcher, so far, so good.
