The cast for this season's Dancing With the Stars is set, and the sports world is well-represented.
ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, who said in a Bill Simmons podcast in June of 2009 that she hoped to be on the show, will participate, as will Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. Newly crowned gold medalist Evan Lysacek will also be in this year's cast.
The rest of the group will consist of Pamela Anderson, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, actress Shannen Doherty, reality TV star Kate Gosselin, soap actor Aiden Turner, The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka, The Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and comedic actress Niecy Nash.
Andrews said she hopes to do better than fellow ESPN employee Kenny Mayne, who was the first contestant to be eliminated in 2006.
"Look, I love Kenny, we all love Kenny Mayne, but come on!" Andrews said to Simmons. "I mean, we gotta represent the network somehow!"
