Kevin Faulk: 'New England Was My First Choice, Always' The Patriots rewarded the longest-tenured member of their organization on Thursday, signing running back Kevin Faulk to a new one-year deal.

Faulk phoned in to Thursday’s edition of SportsDesk to discuss his excitement over spending one more year with the only team he has ever known.

“I said the last time I was on the show that there was an 85 percent chance of me coming back,” Faulk told NESN’s Cole Wright.

Though Faulk tested the market with other teams in the NFL — he reportedly received offers from the likes of the Redskins and the Eagles — New England was always first on his radar.

“It was a [matter] of me figuring out what my value was and then coming back and seeing what New England thought,” Faulk said. “Like I said, New England was my first choice, as always.”
