Big Dance? How about Big Crapshoot? The second weekend of the 2010 NCAA Tournament opened like the first closed – with enough drama for a Chekhov story.

A No. 1 seed fell. Butler did the honors to Syracuse. 

There was an instant classic. Kansas State outlasted Xavier in double overtime.

And a couple of favorites did what they were supposed to do. Kentucky turned out the lights on Cornell, and West Virginia rolled past Washington.

Now there are 12 teams that still have a shot to cut down the nets in Indianapolis.
