Just a couple of years ago, the Bruins center was in Marc Savard‘s shoes, and he spoke to NESN’s Naoko Funayama on Saturday about what his teammate must be feeling.
“I’m sure it was hard for him to see us getting ready [for the game],” Bergeron said on SportsDesk. “And to go through all those question, using his brain, it’s probably hard for him to do that right now.”
Still, just having Savard back around the locker room put a little extra bounce in the Bruins’ steps.
“It was great to see him,” Bergeron said. “Obviously, you can tell he’s still going through some hard stuff but it’s good to see him doing a little better.”
