Patrice Bergeron Visits Injured Norwood High Hockey Player Matt Brown When Patrice Bergeron heard that a Norwood High School hockey player had broken his neck during a game, he knew he had to visit.

Matt Brown broke his cervical vertebra after a hit and was flown to the Shepherd Center for Rehabilitation in Atlanta.

Bergeron came with a goody bag, including a signed jersey, some movies and clam chowder “to remind him of home,” the Bruins center told Bruins Face-Off Live.

Bergeron’s message? Stay positive.

“I felt for him, I’ve been through something similar — not as bad, obviously. … I told him to be positive, that’s the main key.”
