The Red Sox optioned left hander Felix Doubront and catcher Mark Wagner to Triple-A Pawtucket on Saturday and reassigned infielder Gil Velazquez to the minor league camp, general manager Theo Epstein announced.

Doubront, who will start for the big club Sunday against Toronto, impressed the team with seven scoreless innings this spring. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four.

Wagner has four hits, including a home run, in 12 spring at-bats. Velazquez, who has been out of action for a few days due to a jammed thumb, leads the Sox with seven RBI in Grapefruit League play.

The moves leave Boston with 43 players in its major league camp, including eight non-roster invitees.
