Minor league pitcher Armando Zerpa will remain with the Red Sox organization next season.

According to WEEI.com, Zerpa has been returned to the Red Sox by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Zerpa, 23, was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays as the 13th pick in last year's Rule 5 draft from the Red Sox system and was traded to the Dodgers for cash.

The left-hander recorded a 1.20 ERA and struck out 51 batters in 45 innings for the Red Sox' low Single-A affiliate in Greenville last season.
