Report: Patriots Sign Leigh Bodden to Five-Year Contract With $10 Million Guaranteed The 24-hour saga of Leigh Bodden appears to be over, as the free agent cornerback has reached a five-year agreement with the Patriots, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora.

The report confirms several others from Monday night that said Bodden would return to the Patriots. Later on Monday, Bodden's agent, Alvin Keels, said such reports were "not true and premature at best," adding that "Leigh is still evaluating his options."

La Canfora reported that the deal is for five years and $28 million, with $10 million guaranteed.

Last season, Bodden made five interceptions and scored a touchdown for the Patriots. The interception mark was one short of his career-high, which was set in 2007 with the Cleveland Browns.
