Boston.com's Fluto Shinzawa reports that Bruins center Marc Savard is likely done for the year after suffering a Grade 2 concussion on the blindside hit he took from Matt Cooke in Sunday's loss at Pittsburgh.
On Thursday, a meeting with neuro-psychological specialist Dr. Kelly McInnis revealed little progress in Savard's condition. He is still experiencing sleep disruption, dizziness, sensitivity to light, nausea and difficulty concentrating.
Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli is prepared for the worst.
"Not certain that he'll miss the rest of the year," Chiarelli said, "but I'd say it's up there."
