Report: Wide Receiver Nate Burleson Heading to Detroit Lions

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford will be getting an experienced target to throw to in his second year in the NFL.

That's because former Seahawks receiver Nate Burleson is heading to Detroit, according to ESPN.com.

The 28-year-old Burleson caught 63 passes for the Seattle Seahawks last season and has 263 receptions for 3,547 yards and 27 touchdowns in 90 career games. According to the report, Burleson will be making $25 million over five years with $11 million guaranteed.

Burleson will be reuniting with offensive coordinator Scott Linehan. Under Linehan, Burleson had his best season in 2004 when he caught 68 passes for 1,006 yards.
