Boston is fortunate to have strong sports teams across the board, and if four teams were not enough, fans now can get their soccer fix on 98.5 The Sports Hub. CBS Radio and the New England Revolution have agreed to a multiyear deal to broadcast the New England Revolution’s 30 regular-season games.

“Soccer keeps growing in popularity each year and 98.5 The Sports Hub is excited to add our third professional team to our play-by-play portfolio,” said Mike Thomas, 98.5 The Sports Hub program director. “Soccer fans are a perfect fit with our FM sports demographic.”

Soccer will hit the Boston airwaves March 27 when the Revs take on the Los Angeles Galaxy at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Brad Feldman, a 10-year soccer announcer, will give the play-by-play with retired Revolution legend Jay Heaps providing the color analysis.

“We are very excited to enter into this partnership with The Sports Hub,” said Brian Bilello, Revolution chief operating officer. “The Sports Hub has made a tremendous impact in the market. They have a great lineup of live events with the Patriots and Bruins, and their daily shows and personalities really engage New England’s passionate sports fans. We believe this is going to be a great partnership for our fans and we are thrilled to be a part of The Sports Hub family.”
