On Saturday, he reminded Bruins fans why he won the Vezina last year. On Monday, he's getting another chance, as Tim Thomas will start in net against the Sabres.

NESN.com's James Murphy reported the news from Monday's morning skate while also noting that Andrew Ference (groin) will miss his second straight game.

Thomas is coming off a 31-save shutout of the Flames on Saturday, and it appears as though Claude Julien will be riding his hot goaltender. Tuukka Rask's last appearance was a disappointment for the B's, as the 23-year-old stopped just 13 shots in a 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay.
