Titans’ LenDale White Wants Out of Tennessee

Titans' LenDale White Wants Out of Tennessee After watching running back Chris Johnson rush for more than 2,000 yards last season, LenDale White wants the Titans to trade him this offseason, The Tennessean reports.

“I would definitely be interested in a trade,” White told the newspaper. “I don’t know where, or how [the Titans] might view that, but that is what I am hoping for. I can’t see me sitting in Tennessee as a backup any more.”

White has seen his carries decline in each of the last two seasons, recording a career-low 222 rushing yards last season. The former second-round draft out of USC pick wants to be a starting running back in Tennessee or with another NFL team.

“It is time for me to start somewhere,” White said. “I want to be a starter in the NFL, not a backup.”

The veteran running back has played primarily as the Titans’ third-down and short-yardage back in each of the last three seasons. But White is confident his agent Drew Rosenhaus will negotiate a trade.

“I feel like I have the best agent in the business and Drew Rosenhaus is definitely going to take care of it,” White said. “He told me to sit back and relax and he is going to handle it, do the dirty work.”

The Chargers, Eagles and Jets have released their leading rushers from last season, and could be interested in White should the Titans make him available via trade.
