Would You Change Your Name to TexasMotorSpeedway.com for $100,000? And now for something completely different.

In a story that could only happen in NASCAR, Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage is offering a Dallas-area country music radio disc jockey $100,000 if he agrees to both change his name to TexasMotorSpeedway.com for one year and get a permanent "TMS" tattoo. According to Yahoo, Terry Dorsey, a DJ on 96.3 KSCS in Fort Worth, has 24 hours to decide.

KSCS has a multitude of deals with the Texas Motor Speedway and hosts an on-site tower in which a few lucky fans will get to watch the Nationwide Series' O'Reilly 300 on April 17 and the Sprint Cup's Samsung Mobile 500 the following day.

Jeff Gordon won last year's spring race at Texas, while Kurt Busch won the Dickies 500 at the track on Nov. 8.

It's obviously a pretty wacky stunt for Gossage to pull, but as Jay Busbee writes, "The man knows how to get press for his track. He's a modern-day Barnum, wheeling and dealing and doing whatever's necessary to get the word out."

And if Dorsey agrees to go through with it, Gossage will no doubt succeed in getting that word out. In the meantime, KSCS has yet to make a statement on whether or not the name of Dorsey's popular Dorsey Gang program will be changed to the less aurally pleasing TexasMotorSpeedway.com Gang.
