Boof Bonser Hit Hard in Rehab Start for Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Boston right-hander Boof Bonser allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings during a rehabilitation start for Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday.

Bonser, on the disabled list because of a right groin strain, gave up six hits, walked two and struck out four. He threw 43 of 76 pitches for strikes and reached 94 mph.

Former major leaguer Jacque Jones homered off of Bonser in the outing.
