How do you replace the winningest men's basketball coach in Boston College history? That's the question BC athletic director Gene DiFilippo must answer following Tuesday's firing of Al Skinner.

Acccording to Boston.com, DiFilippo has begun interviewing to find a new coach, and he has spoken with three candidates in the last two days.

DiFilippo talked to Cornell coach Steve Donahue and Fairfield coach (and former BC assistant) Ed Cooley on Wednesday. In addition, DiFilippo interviewed Richmond coach Chris Mooney on Thursday.

DiFilippo is also planning to speak with Northeastern coach Billy Coen on Monday, as well. Additionally, Coen will speak with Siena officials about that school's vacant head coaching position over the weekend.

Coen was an assistant at BC for nine years.

According to DiFilippo, the interviews went well, but he declined to name a front-runner for the vacant position.

No other candidates are currently on DiFilippo's radar, but that could change, the Web site reports.
