Bruins Help Raise $25,000 for Children With Cancer at Cuts For a Cause The Bruins weren’t in action on the ice on Wednesday, but they were active in the community, as several members of the Black and Gold participated in the third annual Cuts For a Cause.

The event, hosted by B’s forward Shawn Thornton and 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich, raised $25,000 for the MassGeneral Hospital for Children’s HOPE program.

The event, originally headed by former B’s defenseman Aaron Ward, allowed charitable givers to donate money in order to shave their favorite players’ heads.
