The Maples Leafs might be one of the Bruins’ Original Six rivals, but Boston fans will be rooting for Toronto next week.

After trading Phil Kessel to the Leafs for a package that included Toronto’s 2010 first-round pick, the B’s watched their foe plummet toward the bottom of NHL. Now that the Leafs are locked into having the second-worst record in the league, the Bruins are guaranteed a top-three pick in this year’s draft. Some fortunate luck in the draft lottery, however, could net the Bruins their pick of the litter, a crop that includes talented forwards Tyler Seguin and Taylor Hall.

The NHL draft lottery is Tuesday, April 13, at 8 p.m. and will air on both TSN and Versus. After the broadcast, NESN will break down the lottery and everything Bruins, as Cam Neely joins Kathryn Tappen in studio.

Don’t miss the breaking news next week on NESN.
