1. Casey Kelly, RHP
The 20-year-old Kelly will not make his first start until Monday in New Britain, in all likelihood. He did not get the Opening Day start, but headlines a rotation in Portland that features four of the organization's top 30 prospects.
2. Josh Reddick, OF
Red-hot all spring, Reddick opened with a rough showing in Pawtucket's 11-3 win over Rochester. Batting leadoff, he had none of the PawSox' 12 hits and struck out three times in four at bats. Reddick did manage to walk and score a run.
Pawtucket was rained out Friday night.
3. Ryan Kalish, OF
Kalish wasted little time getting going, homering in his first plate appearance of the season to lead off Portland's 10-5 win over Reading on Thursday. He also doubled and scored during a five-run rally in the fifth and walked and scored in the eighth.
4. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
What was described as a "monsoon" washed away Rizzo's opener against Salem on Thursday. The Red Sox and Potomac will resume the game, postponed in the second inning, as part of a doubleheader Friday.
5. Jose Iglesias, SS
The defensive whiz contributed to Portland’s offensive explosion on Thursday with a pair of hits and a stolen base. His double began the five-run fifth and he singled and scored in the Sea Dogs' three-run eighth.
6. Lars Anderson, 1B
Anderson's slow spring carried into the opener, as he went 1-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts while batting in the No. 5 spot of the Portland lineup.
7. Luis Exposito, C
It was a mixed bag in the opener for the Red Sox' top catching prospect. He smashed a three-run homer in his third at bat for the Sea Dogs and later chipped in a single — but the 23-year-old did have a throwing error and a passed ball in his 2010 debut.
8. Stolmy Pimentel, RHP
The Opening Day starter for Salem got in one scoreless inning before the rains washed away his start. He will pitch at Lynchburg in his next outing.
9. Che-Hsuan Lin, OF
Along with Kalish, Exposito and Iglesias, Lin starred for Portland on Opening Day. He led the club with four RBIs, getting the first on a run-scoring single and the rest on his first Double-A home run, a three-run shot in the eighth.
10. Felix Doubront, LHP
The recipient of some nice offensive support, the Sea Dogs' Opening Day starter picked up the win with five effective innings. He allowed three runs — two earned — on just three hits, striking out two and walking one.

The family of Ryan Westmoreland, the organization's top positional prospect at the close of 2009, released a statement on Friday thanking the Red Sox and the fans for their support in the wake of Westmoreland’s recent brain surgery. Here is a portion of that statement:
"There are still many unanswered questions, but we are confident that with Ryan's strength, courage and determination, along with the great support of his doctors and therapists, he will continue toward a successful recovery. We know that the road of rehabilitation will be long, hard and frustrating at times, but with continued patience and faith, everything will be OK. His spirits are great and his outlook is positive. As proud as we are of so many things Ryan has done in his young life, we have never been, and never will be, more proud of him for the courage he has shown during his recovery.”
Westmoreland, who turns 20 later this month, was at Fenway Park on Sunday for the Red Sox' opener against the New York Yankees.
