According to the Boston Herald, Major League Baseball's "This Is Beyond Baseball" TV ads will feature the Red Sox second baseman.
The commercial focuses on Pedroia's ability to overcome the odds in his baseball career. The ad uses pictures of Pedroia and voice-overs to display the 5-foot-9 second baseman’s growth from Little Leaguer to big league star.
Pedroia joins former "Beyond Baseball" stars Curtis Granderson, Ryan Howard, Tim Lincecum, Joe Mauer and Albert Pujols. All of them appeared in last year's commercials.
Pedroia's 30-second spot is scheduled to debut on Monday on national TV networks.
