Jacoby Ellsbury is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's afternoon game in Minnesota.

The left fielder sustained an injury on Sunday afternoon when he collided with Adrian Beltre in the ninth inning in Kansas City. On Monday, Ellsbury said he did not rule out the possibility of playing on Wednesday, but manager Terry Francona seemed to be taking a more cautious approach. Francona said he expected Ellsbury to miss a couple of games.

Jeremy Hermida will again get the start in left field and bat ninth on Wednesday. On Monday, Hermida went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a strikeout. On the year, he's 4-for-10 with a homer and three RBIs.
