Jason Varitek Still Looking to Unload Property in Newton and Georgia

Serving as a backup catcher isn't the only thing Jason Varitek may be stressing over these days.

According to the Boston Herald, both of the captain's homes — a $2 million abode in Newton, Mass., and a $3.8 million estate in Georgia — are still available more than a year after hitting the market.

Tek's Boston headquarters is a five-bedroom, 6.5-bath wonder in the Waban section of Newton with 11 rooms, 6,536 square feet and a three-car garage.

His seven-bedroom, 7.5-bath Georgia home is located on a luxury golf course and sits on two acres in Suwanee. Tek has bumped the original asking price of $4.4 million down to its current price tag of $3.8 million.
