Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo announced Saturday that comedian Jonah Hill will be throwing out the first pitch at Fenway Park on Sunday.

Hill, 26, is set to play Oakland Athletics assistant manager Paul DePodesta in the upcoming movie based on the best-selling book Moneyball. The book chronicled the 2002 season of the A's and their attempt to compete by exploiting market inefficiencies as a small-market team. It led to the popularity of on-base percentage and is hailed as a seminal book in baseball's history.

Brad Pitt will be taking the role of then- and current A's general manager Billy Beane, who almost joined the Red Sox as GM following the 2002 season before changing his mind.

Hill is perhaps best known for his turn as Seth in the 2008 smash comedy hit Superbad. He has appeared in, among films, The 40-Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and most recently, Funny People.

Moneyball (the film) is slated for a 2011 release.
