Mark Recchi Scores 51st Playoff Goal, Arbella Player of the Week Honors If someone told you in October that Mark Recchi would be one of the most consistent forwards on the Bruins this season, you'd have told that person that he or she was crazy.

Of course, over the course of 82 games, that person would have been proven right, as the veteran winger finished fourth on the team in points, celebrating his 42nd birthday along the way.

It wasn't surprising then to see Recchi light the lamp in the B's playoff opener, when he was once again in the right place at the right time.

With the Bruins trailing 1-0 in the second period, Recchi corralled a rebound on the power play and wristed the puck past Ryan Miller. Though it wasn't enough to win the game, Recchi saw enough positives in the Bruins' performance to feel good about the team.

"We're upset we lost," he told The Associated Press, "but there's too many good things that happened."

Recchi, who notched his 51st postseason goal and 124th postseason point, thinks that bodes well for the B's chances in the series.

"Now we have to go out and get the results," he said. "We showed that we can go out there and play well and do the right things, now we have to do the same things but get the results.

"If we play that way, we will."
