With Wes Welker likely to miss a sizeable chunk of the 2010 season while recovering from a serious knee injury, the Patriots needed to add depth to their receiving corps. Their third-round pick — wide receiver Taylor Price — accomplishes just that.

Price, a 6-foot-1, 212-pound target out of Ohio University who has sure hands and good speed. He led the Bobcats with 56 receptions for 784 yards and five touchdowns during his junior season. Price's 149 catches during his collegiate career rank him atop Ohio's all-time leaderboard.

However, Price brings much more to the Patriots than just his skills as a wide receiver. He was occasionally utilized as a running back in college, and also has significant value on special teams.

Clearly, Price fits Bill Belichick's versatility criteria well.
