Patriots Take Center Ted Larsen in Sixth Round The Patriots drafted center Ted Larsen, formerly of North Carolina State, in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL draft.

Larsen, who stands at 6-foot-2, 304 pounds, originally was a defensive tackle but switched sides in his junior year. By the end of his collegiate career, he made 30 starts (five on defense, 25 on offense).

He was named to the All-ACC second team in 2009, was placed on the Rimington Trophy Watch for being among the top centers in the country and started all 12 games.  He was also on the Rimington Watch list in 2008 in his first year at his new position, and he was given the team's Jim Ritcher Award, which is given to NC State's best offensive lineman.
