Report: Celtics Score 19th Overall Pick in NBA Draft

The Celtics earned consecutive victories over three Western Conference opponents without playing a game.

According to, the C's on Friday won a four-way tiebreaker with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs to capture the 19th overall pick in this year's NBA draft.

The four teams finished the regular season with identical 50-32 records, so NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson used a random drawing to determine their draft order. In addition to owning the 19th overall selection, Boston owns the 52nd overall pick.

The NBA draft lottery will take place May 18 in Secaucus, N.J., to determine the order of the first 14 picks in the draft. Each lottery team failed to make the NBA playoffs, and the New Jersey Nets, the team with the worst regular-season record (12-70), have the best chance of landing the top overall pick.

The 2010 NBA draft will be held June 24 at The Wamu Theater at New York City's Madison Square Garden.  Check out the draft order for selections 15-60 below:
