The Masters has been under way for two days, and the constant Tiger Watch that has dominated news outlets across the nation has allowed golf enthusiasts everywhere to keep up with his every move as he makes his much-anticipated return to golf.
Tom Cavicchi, a teaching pro from the Harmon Club in Rockland, Mass., stopped by Friday’s edition of SportsDesk to discuss the Masters course thus far, and by all indications, the circus expected at Augusta National seems to be living up to its billing.
“The buzz is about Tiger — on and off course — but it’s pretty interesting down there that the other golfers are somewhat upstaging Tiger quite a bit and playing well,” Cavicchi told NESN’s Cole Wright.
As far as Woods’ swing, it doesn’t look like he’s missed any time at all.
“After two rounds, it looks like he’s doing pretty well,” Cavicchi said. “He’s got a lot of balance, his tempo is very, very good, and I think he’s swinging very well.”
“Short game,” Cavicchi said immediately. “The greens are so demanding down there.”
