The injury bug already has taken a big bite out of the Red Sox.

Daisuke Matsuzaka (back, neck) started the season on the disabled list, and Jacoby Ellsbury (rib contusion) and Mike Cameron (lower abdominal strain) were added to the DL this week.

After making his third rehab start for Triple-A Pawtucket on Wednesday, Matsuzaka is close to returning to the big club. Ellsbury could be back as early as next week, and the Red Sox are hoping that rest is the best medicine for Cameron.

When all three players are healthy, which one will make the biggest contribution to the Red Sox? The question comes from Jack in Bedford, N.H.

As of 8 a.m. on Friday, 88 percent of fans feel Ellsbury will make the biggest contribution to the Red Sox this season. Six percent of fans think Cameron will contribute the most and six percent feel Matsuzaka will have the greatest impact.
