Bruins’ Collapse Against Flyers Will Sting for a While

Bruins' Collapse Against Flyers Will Sting for a While “I don’t think it will wear off for a while,” NESN insider James Murphy says of the Bruins’ epic collapse against the Philadelphia Flyers.

“A year to the anniversary of Scott Walker, they choke again and become part of infamy.”

Murphy relayed how the team is not saying much currently, as they are too in shock. They are also furious about the penalty of too many men on the ice, which ended up swinging the season. Murphy tells you who should be blamed for that.

The discussion then turns to the Bruins’ impending free agents. Murphy feels its imperative the club brings back Mark Recchi, as he brings much-needed leadership to the team.

Murphy also proposes trading Zdeno Chara and making Mark Stuart the captain. Another Bruin that might be traded is Tim Thomas.

“Tim Thomas, whether people want to admit or not, is still a No. 1 goalie,” Murphy says.

Of course, the discussion also includes the No. 2 pick and who the Bruins should get. Murphy knows exactly who he wants, sending a plea to the ears of GM Peter Chiarelli.

“You’ve got to find a way to get Taylor Hall. Make it happen,” Murphy said.
