David Ortiz's Home Run Trot in Tampa Bay Tops 30-Second Mark What can you do in 30 seconds or less?

According to wezen-ball.com, Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz can't run the bases after a home run in that time span, which he proved in the top of the second inning on Monday night in Tampa Bay.

Wezen-ball.com has a "Tater Trot Tracker," which times major league home run trots. According to the tracker, Papi's trot lasted 30.59 seconds, a 2010 major league high this season, from batter's box to home plate.

Before Big Papi bashers run rampant in the comments section, the slow slugger stumbled out of the gate, as he bumped into home plate umpire Tim Tschida while leaving the batter's box. Tschida ran out from behind the catcher and raced up the line to get a better view on whether the ball stayed fair or went foul.

Larry Granillo, the author of the post, goes on to compare Papi's time to that of Adam Rosales, whom Granillo proves to be "the quickest (non-inside-the-park) trotter in the game." Rosales hit a big blast back on April 28 and managed to get around the bags in 15.89 seconds — almost half the amount of time it took the Sox DH on Monday.

Ortiz obviously isn't the quickest guy in the league, as proven by the top 10 slowest trotters this season.
