For manager Terry Francona, it’s been a delicate balance splitting time between David Ortiz and Lowell. Neither are in their primes, but both have shown they can still hit.

So on Tuesday, when the Red Sox look to follow up their 17-run offensive outburst with another solid night at the dish, Ortiz will probably be given his chance to show what he can do against Ervin Santana.

There’s no simple solution for the Lowell situation, but what would you do? Let your voice be heard.

As of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, 80 percent of voters want to see Lowell play every day while 17 percent want him to platoon with Big Papi. Just three percent of voters would like to see him traded.

Text “SOX1” to 542542 to vote for playing Lowell every day, text “SOX2” to stick with the platoon system, or text “SOX3” to 542542 to vote for trading the third baseman in hopes of adding some depth to the team.
