J.D. Drew Returns to Red Sox Lineup as Victor Martinez Gets Day Off

J.D. Drew is back in the starting lineup for the Red Sox on Tuesday, one day after being scratched due to a case of vertigo.

Drew will bat third as regular No. 3 hitter, catcher Victor Martinez, is being given a day off. The Boston right fielder was in the lineup for Monday's game but was taken out minutes before the first pitch due to dizziness, an issue the right fielder has had in the past.

Mike Lowell is also back in the lineup at designated hitter after David Ortiz appeared in games Sunday and Monday. Lowell is 5-for-7 with a double and two RBIs against Toronto starter Dana Eveland, who has been battered around by this group of Red Sox hitters.

In fact, the first seven hitters in the Boston lineup Tuesday are a combined 28-for-57 (.491) against Eveland.
