You’d have a hard time arguing that Tom Brady is a bigger legend than Larry Bird, but it would have been harder to predict just how wide the winning margin was for Larry Legend in his matchup with Tom Terrific.

The former Celtics great got 69.3 percent of votes to Brady’s 30.7 percent, moving the second-seeded Bird into the final four.

The remaining matchups in the round of eight saw the No. 1 seeds advancing. Bill Russell (69.8 percent) proved more legendary than Carl Yastrzemski, and Ted Williams (72 percent) took down the patriarch of the Boston Celtics, Red Auerbach.
